Jackson County Hospital District named to Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in country
Jackson County Hospital District in Edna, Texas was recently named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) for patient satisfaction in the country.
The Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals including, Jackson County Hospital District, scored best among critical access hospitals as determined by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The rankings were announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).
Jackson County Hospital District was recognized for excellence in patient care; including communication with doctors and nurses, pain management, overall care, and clean environment.
"Jackson County Hospital District is proud of the efforts of its physicians and staff who have contributed to our hospital achieving this designation," said Bill Jones, hospital CEO. "We are honored to receive this recognition but are not surprised," he said. "Our motto is We Treat You Well."
Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs)
• There are 1,349 Critical Access Hospital in the U.S. and 85 in Texas.
• Critical Access Hospital is a designation given to eligible rural hospitals by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
